Lincoln Rock State Park is an 86-acre park only 20 minutes from Wenatchee, Washington. Its ideal location makes it a popular spot for hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, and more.


Lincoln Rock State Park is a popular destination along the banks of the Columbia River, on the east side of Lake Entiat (also known as Rocky Reach Reservoir).

The park has great facilities for a variety of interests. Let's take a look at some of the best things to do near Lincoln Rock State Park:


The Rocky Reach Trail is a 10.9-mile trail that gains little elevation as it runs along the east shore of the Columbia River. It starts at the main parking area and runs south towards the US 2-97 bridge across the river.

Fish in Lake Entiat

Lake Entiat is 8, 828 acres and was formed by the construction of a hydroelectric dam, the Rocky Reach, along the Columbia River. The lake, also known as Rocky Reach Reservoir, is 17 miles (or 21 kilometers) north of Wenatchee.




You can swim and fish in the lake throughout the summer. Some of the fish species you might find there include:

  • Bridgelip sucker

  • Bull trout

  • Chinook salmon

  • Coho salmon

  • Common carp

Bike and Hike within the Park

If you want to stay within the park's boundaries, there are two miles of biking and hiking trails to explore. You might also choose to explore a few miles of the Rocky Reach Trail before turning around.

Boat and Swim

The park includes 632 feet of dock and allows personal watercraft use, swimming, and waterskiing. The water is usually fairly cold but if you're tough it can be great on a summer's day. There is a designated swimming area as well as docks scattered around the shoreline.

Geocaching

Lincoln Rock State Park is a popular spot for geocaching or a type of global treasure hunting where people look for hidden caches. These are usually slightly hidden boxes or tubes where small items are concealed. Clues are left online for searchers to follow, and usually, a GPS is used.

The park has a large amount of space dedicated to sports fields. There is space to play:

Lincoln Rock State park is home to a fantastic campground from which you can plan all of your next day's activities. The campground includes tent sites, RV hookups, and two cabins types for rent. The camping area is quite large and separated from the rest of the park allowing for some privacy from the general day-use visitors.
