Toketee Falls in Oregon is a two-tiered waterfall located in Umpqua National Forest. The falls are surrounded by stunning basalt cliffs and accessed via a 0.4-mile hike on the Toketee Falls Trail.
The falls are made up of one 28-foot drop and one 80-foot drop. The taller of the two belongs to the lower falls.
Toketee Falls is one of the most famous and commonly-visited waterfalls in Oregon. If the weather is good, you're more than likely not going to be alone as you enjoy the scenery. The waterfall flows all year, so we highly recommend trying to go at a time when the crowds are less.

Toketee Falls is located in the Umpqua National Forest, which is about a four-hour drive from Portland. To get to the falls, you can park at the Toketee Falls Trailhead, which is located off Highway 138.
The trail to the falls is a 0.8-mile hike that is rated as moderate in difficulty.
It's also important to know that there are picnic tables and a vault toilet at the trailhead, but there are no garbage cans, nor is there drinking water. Make sure you pack out everything you bring in!

The hike to Toketee Falls is a moderate 0.8-mile hike through the forest. The trail is well-maintained and has a slight elevation gain.
Visitors should wear comfortable hiking shoes suitable for hiking on uneven terrain. Along the way, you'll enjoy spectacular views of the North Umpqua River and the surrounding forest.
The Falls
At the end of the trail, you'll be greeted by the sight of Toketee Falls. The waterfall is 113 feet tall and cascades down a basalt cliff into a small pool below. The water is crystal clear and reflects the surrounding trees and sky, creating a picturesque scene.
The best time to visit the falls is in the spring when the snow has melted and the waterfall is at its strongest.

The Toketee Lake Campground is a beautiful and popular spot to camp near Toketee Falls. It's on the banks of the lake and offers 33 campsites for tents or RVs. The campground is about 32 miles north of Roseburg, and an hour and a half drive from Eugene. The campground is open year-round.
Boulder Flat Campground
Located just up the road from the falls, Boulder Flat campground is a small site that provides access to the river via boat dock. There are only nine sites there though, and 2 vault toilets.
Deer Flat Group Campground
Deer Flat Group Campground, also known as Horsehoe Bend Campground, is also near the river. It's only accessible if you have a reservation and it can host up to 70 people.
Steamboat Falls Campground
Steamboat Falls Campground is on the southbank of Steamboat Creek. It has 7 campsites for RVs and tents, and 3 more that are tent only. All the sites are first-come-first-serve.
