The Campsites

Cape Perpetua Campground is located near Yachats, Oregon, on the edge of the Siuslaw National Forest. It offers spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean and nearby forestland. The campground itself is situated in a coastal rainforest, with tall spruce, hemlock, and Douglas fir trees providing plenty of shade.


The campground has 32 campsites spread out over two loops.


Amenities

Each site is equipped with:

  • Tent pad

There is access to:

  • Potable water

  • Restrooms

There are also several RV sites with full hookups.


In addition to camping, visitors to Cape Perpetua can enjoy hiking, beachcombing, birdwatching, and exploring the tidepools. The Cape Perpetua Visitor Center also features a deck that offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding coastline.

How to Get There

Getting to Cape Perpetua Campground is easy! Located just off the scenic Oregon Coast Highway 101, it's only a short drive from some of the major cities in the region, including Eugene, Corvallis, and Florence.



The campground is nestled within the Siuslaw National Forest and is easily accessible by car. The closest towns are Yachats and Waldport, both of which offer plenty of services and amenities.


From Yachats, take the Cape Perpetua Highway (Highway 130) and turn left onto Cape Perpetua Road. You'll then continue for about 5 miles until you reach the entrance to the campground.

From Waldport, take Highway 34 and follow signs for Cape Perpetua. The road will eventually merge with Highway 130, and you can continue on to the campground as outlined above.



For travelers coming from outside the region, there are several options for getting to Cape Perpetua Campground. You can fly into either Eugene or Portland International Airports and rent a car to make the short drive to the campground. Or, you could take Amtrak's Coast Starlight train, which stops at several towns along the Oregon coast, including Newport and Salem.
