Harris Beach State Park Hikes

One of the main draws of Harris Beach State Park is the hiking trails. The park has several trails that offer stunning views of the ocean and surrounding landscape. Here are some of the most popular hikes in the park:

South Beach Trail

This is one of a few very short trails in the Harris Beach State Park area. It's only 0.3 miles long and should take you about 10 minutes to finish. The trail is quite easy and is therefore suitable for families. The trail takes you from the extra vehicle parking to the summit of Harris Butte, where you can look down on the beach.

Rockway Beach Trail

This is a 0.4-mile hike that's within the state park. It should only take you 10 minutes to finish. The trail takes you from Old Highway 101 toward the ocean, stopping at the beach among some large rocks.

Harris Beach Trail to Harris Butte

This is a slightly longer trail at 0.6 miles. It gains around 150 feet in elevation but is still considered to be very easy. The trail takes you from the parking area at the beach to the summit of Harris Butte.
